Swedish Bhairavi Says: “In the Presence of Greatness..”

In the past I remember I was asked to share some of my experiences in English. Some time passed and I was inspired to write some articles about my impressions of coming to Himalaya upon invitation and how I saw the sphere of spiritual Siddha practitioners in the lineage. With my dance background and knowing what awareness of fingertips means in the realm of dance…excellence, all-embodiment, fullness and intelligence of the physical….I knew that I had come to a place where there was awareness, not only to the physical fingertips, but to the “fingertips” of the whole spiritual and subtle realms, and thus the whole existence.

Like a spear…or a Vajra, lightening…..lightening speed….and like the symbol diamonds natural unbreakable essence…Wisdom… Veiled but yet to me, by grace of Gurus I was allowed to see behind many veils too. I was allowed to have glimpses of the vastness of the greatness and sublime amongst the physical that was present, which to many others perhaps would have only been percieved as mundane or “simple”.

I am thankful for that bit of unveiling…

I didn’t have good words to use for describing it…I ended up describing that its like entering Hogwards or realizing that the X-men thing with talents and such is actually real, and that one can develop beyond measure.

And today I can still agree with what I wrote and through the years we have seen how various people meet greatness.

Knowledge is infinite.

This simple truth can stir many reactions in a seeker.

Do you get sad, angry or jealous that you do not yet have all that knowledge? Do you get scared, feel challenged, defeated that there is yet another mountain ahead? Or are you over the moon with appreciation and joy that such vast knowledge exists and that there are wonderfully refined beings in this world?

Or perhaps you stand somewhere in between..fluctuating..

Many people we are in contact with are used to being the “light” in their normal circles, the most talented, the most intuitive, the most perceptive. And yes, you are gifted.

Sometimes when a talented person enters a school filled with others with similar interests and disciplines, perhaps a conservatory for musicians or a dance academy, something interesting happens. I saw it many times over during my dance evolution too.

Some become crushed, realizing: “Oh… there are so many who are good… maybe I am not the best.”

Some feel exposed: “I don’t know everything… how will I keep up?”

Some rejoice: “I am finally in a place where I can learn endlessly from excellence.”

Then there are those who are truly at the forefront, and instead of uplifting others, they treat them badly, seeing everyone as competition.

And there are those who are great but unaware of it, constantly needing to be encouraged or pushed.

And then… there are also those rare ones who know that their greatness does not diminish when others grow.
They have faith in their process, in their teachers, and they admire their own path.
They celebrate excellence wherever they see it.

There is grace in that.

In Siddha Tantra, this quality is highly beneficial.

For excelling in Siddha Tantra, you do not benefit from fear or spiralling into despair when encountering knowledge, refined beings or beautiful expressions of Shakti. Instead, you benefit from being a practitioner who loves the potential. One who feels inspired to learn more. One who holds reverence for beings who have refined themselves, beings from whom you can learn and connect with.

Being a student, open, willing, humble, is itself a sacred vessel. Shakti flows beautifully in such a vessel.

But a vessel that says, “I don’t need to learn” closes itself. It becomes stagnant. Shakti flows less and less.

Knowledge, beauty, shine, talent, innovation, discovery, the wise ones rejoice when they encounter embodiments of these. They see bliss. They see reminders of the magic of life, the potential of this creation. They see a more evolved being and they feel glad that such a being exists in their realm.

Because when greatness enters your realm, it is also a sign that you, too, can grow into that. You, too, can refine yourself. You, too, can taste that vidya.

Teachers are great. Gurus are great. Vidya, sacred knowledge, is supreme. Even gods and goddesses bow to Guru.

We welcome those whose hearts open in the presence of beauty, knowledge and the arts.

It is natural to be overwhelmed for a moment: to gasp, to be stunned, perplexed, mind-blown.
Who wouldn’t, standing at the foothills of, for a lack of symbolism, Hogwarts…, where there is excellence and excellence in training, wonders and mystical happenings official and unofficial.

Siddha Tantra Arts carries the living current of great beings through its veins. And we, Bhairav ji and I, are guardians of this realm, doing our duty to maintain the integrity of the wisdom while using our own arts to bridge the gap for eligible seekers.

Your greatness, your development, your increasing eligibility, all of this makes our time and effort worth it. Shared ananda multiplies.

May you stand unafraid in the presence of greatness, for it comes to remind you of your own.

With love,
Swedish Bhairavi
